· Hundreds of Austrian Airlines employees at work over Christmas and New Year’s Eve
· Pilots, flight attendants as well as station, technical, flight operations control center or customer service employees are on duty
· “Thanks to our employees” says Austrian Airlines CEO Alexis von Hoensbroech
Most people prefer to spend Christmas and New Year’s Eve at home together with their families and friends. Many Austrian Airlines employees are also working over the holidays, in the air and on the ground, to make sure that these wishes come true for as many people as possible. The staff on duty include about 1,000 pilots and flight attendants, 250 station employees and 200 technicians per day. Other departments are also at work over the holidays, including teams at the Austrian Airlines flight operations control center or in customer service.
“Christmas and New Year are days in which we all wish for a quiet time together with the people who are dearest to us”, states Alexis von Hoensbroech, CEO of Austrian Airlines. “I would like to thank all our employees who, as usual, demonstrate their full commitment during this time in order to bring our passengers home or to their holiday destinations.”
