Allegiant Travel Company (Allegiant Air) ha riportato oggi i risultati preliminari del traffico passeggeri per dicembre 2021, quarto trimestre 2021 e anno intero 2021.
“La capacità programmata del quarto trimestre è aumentata del 14,5% rispetto al 2019, in linea con le nostre aspettative iniziali”, ha affermato Drew Wells, vicepresidente senior delle entrate. “Nonostante un ambiente operativo difficile durante il periodo di punta delle festività natalizie, abbiamo chiuso il trimestre con un fattore di carico del 78,8%, il più alto dall’inizio della pandemia. Sebbene Omicron abbia portato a un aumento delle cancellazioni dei clienti, le tendenze delle prenotazioni giornaliere nel corso del trimestre hanno costantemente sovraperformato i livelli osservati nel 2019. Questa forza delle prenotazioni ha comportato un fatturato operativo totale di circa $ 496 milioni per il trimestre, con un aumento di oltre il 7,5% rispetto a 2019”.
“Siamo lieti di annunciare che il quarto trimestre sarà il nostro terzo trimestre consecutivo di redditività dall’inizio della pandemia”, ha dichiarato Gregory Anderson, vicepresidente esecutivo e direttore finanziario. “Nonostante le sfide operative legate ai picchi di viaggio durante le vacanze, prevediamo un margine EBITDA rettificato1 per il quarto trimestre di circa il 19%. Questo margine include quasi 23 milioni di dollari di costi operativi irregolari sostenuti durante il trimestre, la maggior parte dei quali sostenuti a dicembre. Le sfide operative erano principalmente il risultato della carenza di equipaggio relativa a Omicron. Sebbene queste sfide siano continuate all’inizio di gennaio, stiamo iniziando a vedere sollievo e ci aspettiamo un miglioramento significativo nell’operazione man mano che la variante Omicron inizia a dissiparsi”.
